2024 Kid's Summer Art Camp: Pastels (Ages 10-14)
Date and Time: The week of Monday, July 22, 2024, to Friday, July 26, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM each day

Cost: $160.00 per child for the entire week
Kids can explore chalk pastels with teaching artists Gabriel Islas! The Santa Paula Art Museum’s five-day pastels camp for ages 10-14 is all about fun and building skills in drawing and color! Students will discover their inner artist through the foundations of chalk pastels on toned paper, with projects varying from abstract to still life.
This five-day camp will be taught Monday, July 22, 2024, to Friday, July 26, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM each day
This camp is appropriate for kids ages 10-14. The cost of camp is $160.00 per child for the entire week. All skill levels are welcome and all materials are provided. Preregistration is required and space is limited.
*Each day will have a dedicated break time where kids may eat snacks and drink water. Kids must bring their own snacks and water bottles. Water cups will be available. A parent/guardian is required to sign their child in and out every day.

About Our Teaching Artist:
An Oxnard native, Gabriel Islas obtained his BFA with an emphasis in painting from Academy of Art University, San Francisco. He now exhibits atmospheric paintings of his favorite California landscapes, teaches fine art, and leads the education department at the Santa Paula Art Museum’s Cole Creativity Center.
