2024 Kid's Summer Art Camp: Drawing From Life (Ages 10-14)

Kids can learn to draw from life with teaching artist Aaron MacDonald! The Santa Paula Art Museum’s five-day drawing camp for ages 10-14 is all about fun and building creative skills. Students will learn how to develop a rough sketch into a refined drawing using graphite, ink, and watercolor. Students will learn basic skills in drawing and fundamental concepts such as shading, value and sketching!

This five day camp will be taught Monday, July 29, 2024, to Friday, August 2, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM each day

This camp is appropriate for everyone ages 10-14. The cost of camp is $160.00 per child for the entire week. All skill levels are welcome and all materials are provided. Preregistration is required and space is limited.

*Each day will have a dedicated break time where kids may eat snacks and drink water. Kids must bring their own snacks and water bottles. Water cups will be available. A parent/guardian is required to sign their child in and out every day.

About Our Teaching Artist:

Aaron MacDonald is a painter native to Ventura County and has been on his artistic journey for nearly a decade. He aspires to the skill of the old masters and is a devotee to art in all its shapes and forms. Aaron is grateful to share his experience in drawing and painting and knows that knowledge, love, and exercise is an excellent formula for producing successful creations on canvas.
