*Please note: Long nails can make working with clay frustrating. We recommend trimming your nails down before attending class. Clay is also very messy, so please dress in clothing you don’t mind getting stained and covered in clay. You are welcome to bring an apron and towel/rag for wiping your hands throughout the process. Long hair must be pulled back as a safety precaution.
About Our Teaching Artist:
Connor Kelley is a ceramic artist born and raised in Camarillo, California. He recently graduated from CSU Channel Islands with a degree in Studio Art with an emphasis in ceramics. Kelley took his first pottery class at Moorpark College and has been throwing on the wheel since 2016. Being an artist runs in his family and art has been an interest for him since he was little. Kelley now focuses on functional pottery that can be used in everyday life such as cups, mugs, bowls, and vases, giving his own twist on traditional shapes. You can see his work at local shows and catch him selling at art markets on the weekends around Ventura County.
