Explore this hands-on workshop to learn all about the colorful world of pigment! Join teaching artist Gabriel Islas inside the Santa Paula Art Museum’s Cole Creativity Center to dive into the fascinating world of paint, exploring everything from vibrant and rare pigments to the various binders that bring them to life. Best of all, you’ll have the chance to roll up your sleeves and create your very own oil paint to take home! Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, this workshop promises creativity, fun, and plenty of inspiration. Don’t miss out on this artistic experience!
This course will meet on Saturday, March 1st, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This class is appropriate for everyone ages 16 and over. The cost of the workshop is $60.00 per person. All skill levels are welcome and all materials are provided. Preregistration is required and space is limited. The course will be held inside the Cole Creativity Center located at 123 N 10th St, Santa Paula, CA. Free parking is available directly behind the building and students may enter through the front or back door.

About Our Teaching Artist: An Oxnard native, Gabriel Islas obtained his BFA with an emphasis in painting from Academy of Art University, San Francisco. He now exhibits atmospheric paintings of his favorite California landscapes, teaches fine art, and leads the education department at the Santa Paula Art Museum’s Cole Creativity Center
