Felting Bowls is back! Felting is an ancient form of working with fiber to create fabrics, vessels, and decorative objects. Join teaching artist Andi Meyer inside SPAM’s Cole Creativity Center and learn to use wool, soap, hot water, and a little friction to create your own felt vessel. Learn resist techniques to shape wool into a firm structure full of color and texture.

This is a one-day workshop that will be taught on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

This class is for ages 16 and over. The cost of this workshop is $40 per person. All skill levels are welcome and all materials are provided. Preregistration is required and space is limited. About Our Teaching Artist:

Andi Meyer has been creating art for over 25 years. Her work consists primarily of 3D fiber artwork, such as spinning yarn, felting, crocheting, knitting, and weaving. Mom to an eight-year-old artist (and several fur babies), Andi works as a special education teacher. Although she has received a BA in Art & Psychology and her MA in Education, her love for learning new techniques and skills has never faded away.
