Learn the tricks of successful landscape painting from award-winning artist Sharon Weaver! From picking the right visual reference, to understanding shapes, color mixing, and the fundamentals of composition, Sharon will teach the right components to achieve distance, atmosphere and details. Students will learn how to transfer the beauty of nature into an original landscape painting with harmony, interest and drama. This class is for everyone age 16 and over. The cost of this class is $85.00 per person. All skill levels are welcome and all supplies will be provided. Pre-registration is required and online registration is preferred.

About Our Teaching Artist: Sharon Weaver is a master landscape artist living in Southern California. She was juried into the Oil Painters of America 20th Annual National Exhibition, an award winner at the Carmel Art Festival, and one of ten finalists in the LADOT TAP Card Competition with a presentation ceremony at the LA Art Walk. Sharon's teaching credentials include ongoing classes at Kline Academy of Fine Art and the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art. She is a founding member of PAC6 Painters, a group dedicated to painting the beauty and grandeur of the American landscape. She has shown work many times with the Santa Paula Art Museum, including the current "Face of California" exhibit.
