Join us on Saturday, July 18, 2026, for the premiere of Stories in Pigment and Metal, an exhibition featuring Ojai artists and cousins Wrona Gall and Ted Gall. Inspired by the human form, Ted Gall’s bronze and stainless-steel sculptures draw from imagination, mythology, and folklore, presenting familiar imagery in unexpected combinations that invite interpretation and discovery. Painting directly with her hands to build layers of texture and color, Wrona Gall creates acrylic skyscapes that evoke memory and our emotional connection to nature. Together, the exhibition offers a captivating balance between Ted’s weighty figurative forms and Wrona’s luminous, atmospheric cloudscapes.
Admission to the premiere party is $5 for SPAM members and $10 for non-members. Stories in Pigment and Metal will be on view from July 18, 2026, to November 8, 2026.
More About Wrona Gall:
As a child, Wrona Gall often gazed out her bedroom window, finding comfort in studying the movement of the clouds. After a forty-year painting career in an industrial loft in Chicago, she moved to Ojai, California, in 2015, where the open horizon of Ojai’s natural beauty expanded her vision. Wrona creates her color-infused skyscapes and translucent veils of color by painting directly with her hands using acrylics. Her work has been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the country, including the Art Institute of Chicago and the San Diego Art Institute.
More About Ted Gall:
Ted Gall began his art career in Chicago more than fifty years ago as a graphic designer and animator. After studying at the Art Institute of Chicago, sculpture became the primary focus of his work. An Ojai, California resident for over 30 years, Gall works primarily in cast stainless steel and bronze, often incorporating the human figure. His larger sculptures can be found on the grounds of commercial buildings, private residences, museums, and sculpture gardens, while his smaller works are held in private collections throughout the United States and abroad.
