Breathe new life into your paintings with some fun and energetic techniques in this highly requested class! Join teaching artist Aaron MacDonald for a four-week oil painting adventure where you'll dive into various projects that blend abstraction with realism. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills, you'll discover how interpretation, stylization, and expressionism can elevate your art. We can't wait to see you there!
This four-part course will be taught on four consecutive Wednesdays: April 2nd, April 9, April 16, & April 23, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
This class is for ages 16 and over. The cost of the six-part course is $165 per person. All skill levels are welcome and all materials are provided. Preregistration is required and space is limited. The course will be held inside SPAM’s Cole Creativity Center located at 123 N 10th St., Santa Paula, CA. Free parking is available directly behind the building and students may enter through the front or back door.

About Our Teaching Artist:
Aaron MacDonald is a painter native to Ventura County and has been on his artistic journey for nearly a decade. He aspires to the skill of the old masters and is a devotee to art in all its shapes and forms. Aaron is grateful to share his experience in drawing and painting and knows that knowledge, love, and exercise is an excellent formula for producing successful creations on canvas.
