About Our Teaching Artist:
Based in Santa Barbara, Dewey Ledbetter is a plein air painter with over a decade of experience capturing both urban and natural landscapes. Working primarily in acrylic, Dewey’s paintings are known for their bold compositions, expressive use of color, and sensitivity to the ever-changing interplay of light and shadow. His work often highlights the relationship between architecture and environment—exploring how buildings, streets, and structures interact with the natural world around them. In addition to his studio and outdoor practice, Dewey is passionate about teaching and sharing the creative process, helping students build confidence while developing their own artistic voices.
