More About Sandy Fisher:

Sandy Fisher, a native of Southern California, grew up immersed in the region’s diverse landscapes, from sunlit coasts to rugged mountains. Her lifelong love of the outdoors deepened when she met her husband, John, an adventurous rock climber and mountaineer. Together, they backpacked through the Sierra Nevada and hiked trails across the country, experiences that filled Sandy’s soul and camera with images she longed to one day capture on canvas. In 2005, a life-altering diagnosis of metastatic cancer to her spine changed everything. Confronted with her mortality, Sandy made the courageous decision to leave her career behind and fully embrace her passion for painting. Today, Sandy is an award-winning artist celebrated for her evocative studio and plein air landscapes as well as her botanical paintings. Her work has earned her accolades such as “Best of Show” and the City of Santa Clarita’s “Excellence in Art” award. She is a member of California Art Club and Laguna Plein Air Painters Association. She serves on the board of Santa Clarita Artists Association and was instrumental in establishing Santa Clarita’s Arts Commission during its formative years.
