With the reopening of the Santa Paula Art Museum, we’re finally getting the chance to celebrate artist Shannon Celia’s solo exhibition, Santa Paula Sojourn! While the exhibit was installed five months ago, it has yet to be seen in person by the public. On Saturday, October 24, 2020, the Museum will host a series of free, after hours appointments with the artist between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Each half hour, five visitors will get to spend 30 minutes enjoying Santa Paula Sojourn with the artist in tow. It will be a new (and socially distant) way to experience the exhibit and meet the artist! Once your 30-minute tour has finished, guests will be able to visit the Museum’s second exhibition, Inspiration and Influence, and listen to live music by classical guitarist Hope Mueller. Schedule an appointment by selecting a time slot and completing the form below (please sign up for each person in your party separately).
In accordance with public health directives, only five guests will be allowed in each 30-minute tour so as to maintain 6 feet of distance between all persons at all times. Guests will be required to wear a face mask for the duration of their visit, to sanitize their hands upon entry, and to sign a waiver upon entry. No food or drink will be allowed or served within the Museum, but downtown Santa Paula offers a number of excellent bars and restaurants to enjoy.
