The Santa Paula Art Museum will be giving away free Art To-Go Bags on Saturday, September 19, at 10:00 a.m. The bags will be available via a drive-thru only pick up in the parking lot behind the Santa Paula Art Museum starting at 10:00 a.m. (while supplies last - limit 5 bags per family). Please enter the parking lot from 10th Street and follow the posted signs and directions from staff.
The Museum is celebrating National Literacy Month with this month’s art bag and has partnered with Blanchard Community Library to bring you some extra special art projects! Inside the bag you’ll find a mix of art-making materials, including colorful scrapbook paper, markers, tissue paper, a personal writing journal, and more. Kids will be able to explore all of the elements of art through hands-on projects like bookbinding, printmaking, flip-books, and creative writing. Children will also be invited to create a mixed media self-portrait to be added to the Museum’s outdoor “Art Park” (coming soon)!
The Museum’s free art to-go bags are made possible by sponsors Brianne McGrath, Kai and John Blanchard, Fran and Jim Christiansen, Patti and Pete Fallini, Kathy Good, Laurence Holcombe, Willa and Earl McPhail, Michael Pulliam, and Dorcas Thille.
