Class: $5 Craft Night (Ages 16+)

  • Santa Paula Art Museum's Cole Creativity Center 123 N 10th Street Santa Paula, CA 93060 USA (map)

Join us each month for a night of fun, crafting and creativity for only $5.00! Come with a friend, relax with a glass of wine, and lose yourself in an easy and original project. On Thursday, March 12, we’ll be taking inspiration from Women's History Month and artist Louise Nevelson as we reclaim everyday objects to make beautiful and sublime abstract sculptures. Nevelson once said, “When you put together things that people have thrown out, you’re really bringing them to life – a spiritual life that surpasses the life for which they were originally created.” You can bring your own recycled materials/treasures from home, or we’ll have plenty for you to use! This class is for everyone age 16 and over. All supplies will be included, and no experience is necessary. The cost of this class is $5.00 per person. Preregistration is required and online registration is preferred. Click here to register online.

Having trouble registering for class online? Please call us at (805) 525-5554.

About Our Teaching Artist: Born and raised in Santa Paula, Mariann Romero has taught art at Santa Paula High School for the past 29 years. Although drawing is her favorite art medium, crafts have been a part of her life since age eight when she took her first arts and crafts class through the recreation department. It was that experience that hooked her on art.
