Get your craft on in the Museum’s new Crafty Creations class for ages 12 and up! Enjoy the satisfaction and creative expression of crafting with friends, playing with techniques and materials, and leaving with a fun and personal decorative object. It’s a monthly meeting of crafty minds! On Thursday, October 10, we’ll use simple designs and a bright palette to create little landscape rocks to brighten up your personal spaces. All materials will be provided and fun is guaranteed. This class is being offered at no cost/pay what you can, but to help us manage supplies, registration is required. Please no drop-ins. (Please note that you will be required to submit your address in the “Payment” section during checkout, but you will not be asked for credit card information.) Students under 16 must be accompanied by a parent. Registration is limited to 20 students per class on a first come first served basis. Click here to register online. Having trouble registering for class online? Please call us at (805) 525-5554.
PAY WHAT YOU CAN: This monthly opportunity is made possible by our very generous teacher, Marianne Romero, who is supporting the museum by volunteering to teach this class. In the spirit of that generosity, we only ask that you pay what you can.
About Our Teaching Artist: Born and raised in Santa Paula, Mariann has taught art at Santa Paula High School for the past 29 years. Although drawing is her favorite art medium, crafts have been a part of her life since age eight when she took her first arts and crafts class through the recreation department. It was that experience that hooked her on art.
