Among the more unique opportunities offered by the Santa Paula Art Museum are those in which visitors can sit back, relax, and watch a talented artist at work! On Thursday, August 10, artist Dan Schultz will perform a live landscape painting demonstration at the Santa Paula Art Museum. The demonstration begins at 3:00 p.m. Schultz is one of 55 contemporary artists from the historic California Art Club who are featured in the Santa Paula Art Museum's current exhibition entitled "Golden State Splendor.” Admission to the demonstration is $4.00 for adults, $3.00 for seniors, and free for students and members.
Dan Schultz is an Ojai-based artist whose style builds on the historical tradition of representational fine art. With a background in commercial art, he has been influenced by many of the golden-age illustrators as well as classical realism and impressionism. His landscape and figure paintings have received national recognition from “Fine Art Connoisseur” and “Southwest Art” magazines. As a painter, Schultz believes that beauty is of great importance to the human soul, and his demonstration on August 10 will surely be proof of that point.
Admission: $4 Adults // $3 Seniors // Free for Students and SPAM Members
