Join us for Free Family Day inside the Santa Paula Art Museum's Cole Creativity Center on Sunday, September 8, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.! Our September event celebrates Native American crafts and cultural arts. Inspired by our local Chumash Tribe, the day's projects will include weaving, making a wansaq instrument, rock painting, and more. Families can also enjoy Chumash storytelling by Alan Salazar, a traditional storyteller, Native educator, and a Tribal Elder of both the Fernandeño Tataviam and Ventureño Chumash Tribes, starting at 1 PM. Admission is free, all are welcome, and all materials are provided.
