Premiere Party: California Art Club Presents "Plein Air Visions"

The California Art Club, one of the largest art organizations in the world, was established in 1909 by early California Impressionists to promote the practices of traditional fine arts in the fields of painting, drawing, and sculpture. “Plein Air Visions” features 35 contemporary plein air paintings of coastal and urban landscapes from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles. The group exhibition celebrates the immediacy and spontaneity of the plein air technique in capturing the ever-changing light, colors, and moods of the California scene. Admission to the premiere party on Saturday, May 10, 2025, is $5 for SPAM Members and $10 for non-members. All of the paintings will be available for purchase.

“Plein Air Visions” features paintings by artists Christine Beirne, Charlton Chen, Jim Darin, Karl Dempwolf, Erin Dertner, Jessica Falcone, Mardilan Georgio, Karen Glancy, Gabriel Islas, Nora Koerber, Lisa La Mer, Frank Lennartz, Rosina Maize, Fernando Micheli, Mikyoung Osburn, Anette Power, Carolyn Romer, Dan Schultz, Libby Smith, Laura Wambsgans, Nina Warner, Sharon Weaver, Karen Winters, and Carol Zepke.

“Plein Air Visions” will be on view from May 10, 2025, to September 7, 2025.
