2025 Kid's Summer Art Camp: Sculpting! (Ages 11-16)

Sculpting camp is all about designing and building your own creations in modeling clay, clay and paper mache! This camp will provide the space, materials and instruction for students to explore the history and art of sculpture. Teaching artist Sonya Burke will guide students through multiple projects throughout the week!

This five-day camp will be taught Monday, June 16, 2025, to Friday, June 20, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM each day.

This camp is appropriate for kids ages 11-16. The cost of camp is $175.00 per child for the entire week. All skill levels are welcome and all materials are provided. Preregistration is required and space is limited.

*Each day will have a dedicated break time where kids may eat snacks and drink water. Kids must bring their own snacks and water bottles. Water cups will be available. A parent/guardian is required to sign their child in and out every day.

Youth Scholarships Available!

The Santa Paula Art Museum offers financial assistance to qualifying individuals. To qualify, students must be between the ages of 3 and 18, and their family must be enrolled in the state’s EBT or WIC program. Once verified, you will receive a discount code to use towards enrollment. Financial assistance is limited and not guaranteed.


About Our Teaching Artist:

Sonya is a retired elementary school teacher who loves to teach art! “My greatest joy is helping others grow in confidence and competence. My strength lies in my ability to help students overcome the frustration of learning new skills. I have had the privilege of teaching students of all ages at my home studio, in local schools, the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Barbara, Vita Art Center, and Ojai Pottery and Clay School in Ventura, California.
