Enjoy a tour of artist Bruce Everett’s current exhibition, “Shadow and Light,” with Everett as your guide! On Saturday, March 25, 2023, Everett will discuss his sixty-year career as a painter, which has seen him evolve from an abstract artist to a Photorealist, to a highly successful painter of Southern California landscapes. The talk will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m. Access to the tour is included with regular museum admission, which is $4.00 for adults, $3.00 for seniors, and free for students and SPAM members. Reservations are not required.
About Bruce Everett
Bruce Everett was born in Los Angeles but raised in the Midwest just north of Chicago. Although he showed early artistic ability, Everett didn’t start painting until college. He received a Masters in Art from the University of Iowa, and a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Bruce taught briefly at the University of Washington, Seattle. He then became a Professor of Art at California State University, Northridge from 1970 until he retired in 2005.
Everett's work has been exhibited in museums and galleries in Los Angeles and throughout Southern California, Oregon, Seattle, New York, Connecticut, and Texas. His art is included in numerous books, exhibition catalogs, and publications on Photorealism and landscape painting. Everett currently lives and paints in Templeton, California.
