On Thursday, June 8, artist Sharon Weaver will transform a blank canvas into a stunning scene of the High Sierra as she performs a live oil painting demonstration at the Santa Paula Art Museum. The demonstration begins at 3:00 p.m. Weaver is one of the PAC6 painters – a group of six artists who travel and paint on location together. They are featured in the Santa Paula Art Museum's current exhibition "Between Heaven and Earth: The PAC6 Paints the Sierras."
Sharon Weaver graduated from Parsons School of Design before moving to California, where she has been a longtime plein air and studio painter. She is also a painting instructor at Kline Academy of Fine Art in Los Angeles. During her demonstration, Weaver will explain her creative process and how she approaches oil painting in the field and on location.
Admission: Adults $4.00 // Seniors $3.00 // Free for Students and SPAM Members
